How is your Christmas shopping going? Usually, I am pretty organized except when it comes to Christmas shopping. I can think of a million of other things I would rather be doing instead of fighting for a parking spot or walking the malls endlessly looking for the perfect gift, like baking some cookies with my partner in crime, Miss E. I haven’t done a lot of online shopping in the past but its beginning to look a lot more appealing now that I have two young children.
Everyone has a foodie in their life and we know how picky they can be when it comes to their kitchen tools. Here are a few of my favorite kitchen tools and some ideas if you are still hunting for the perfect gift for the foodie in your life.
1). Magazine subscription
You can’t go wrong with a magazine subscription. What foodie doesn’t love reading about food or drooling over new recipes, especially from Fine Cooking.
2). Cooking class
Have you ever attended a hands on cooking lesson? The Dirty Apron is well known for their hands on cooking classes, what a great gift, plus you get to spend time with them doing the thing they love most.
3). KitchenAid Mixer
Any foodie that does not have one of these beauty’s would love Santa if this was under the tree. Bonus- there are so many pretty colors to chose from.
4). Apron
For the practical foodie on your list. This beautiful hand woven apron can be found on the blog Sunday Suppers.
5). Pizza Stone
Who doesn’t love a good pizza.
5). Pizza and flatbread cookbook
The perfect book to make the perfect pizza dough.
6). Waffle maker
Who doesn’t love waffles for breakfast. Not only does this waffle make good waffles, there is literally no mess to clean up later.
7). Mandoline – perfect gift for making salads looking beautiful.
8). Cookbooks
2014 has been a good year for cookbooks, there are so many good books, its hard to narrow it down my favorites.
A). Sprouted Kitchen by Sara and Hugh Forte
B). Oh she Glows by Angela Liddon
c). 100 Days of Real Food by Lisa Leake
9). Dutch oven
Perfect for comforting and hearty stews.
10). Homemade gifts
If your looking to give a sentimental gift, how about something homemade. The clever carrot has a recipe for homemade vanilla sugar. Another great homemade gift is homemade granola packaged in a pretty mason jar.
Happy Shopping! The best thing about this list, you can buy everything online!
Wishing you and your family a safe and happy holiday season!
