Ginger molasses cookies with orange zest

Ginger molasses cookies with orange zest

Tis the season for baking! The dietitian’s at my work always do a cookie exchange. This year I decided to up my game and make a different cookie. I am a creature of habit and usually make these sugar cookies. This year I decided to make ginger molasses cookies with orange zest. These ginger molasses cookies with orange zest are soft, chewy and absolutely delicious.

Anyone who knows me knows I lack patience when it comes to baking. Hence, I must have made these a dozen times to perfect them. Thanks to chocolate and connie for her baking tips, I think I may be getting the hang of this whole baking thing. A couple of things I learned:

Patience

Room temperature ingredients (butter, eggs)

Measure your ingredients ( I may invest in a scale)

Chill your dough

These cookies are so delicious. If you are looking for the perfect cookie for a cookie exchange or to “wow” your guests look no further! We hope Santa enjoys these cookies as much as we do! What is your favorite Christmas cookie?
